Sonakshi Sinha wants to break the pattern and experiment with more diverse roles
How much inches has she lost or gained, has remained the concern of everyone else, apart from her. Sonakshi Sinha says that she has stopped paying attention to reports related to her weight. “Sometimes it is irritating that how much attention people give to only one thing, ignoring the kind of person you are and the kind of work you are doing.
I have just stopped reacting to it. I have always projected a healthy body image and I feel good when girls walk up to me and tell that they look up to me,” said the actress who is proud of the fact that she has done over 12 films in last four years. “I don’t think that anyone else has done so much work. I probably have been enjoying my work so much that I ended up doing way too much,” she said.
The actress agrees that she has been doing a lot of remakes — Rowdy Rathore, Son of Sardar and now Tevar, and the portrayal of her characters has been similar. “As far as remakes are concerned, I think all of them were different stories and the treatment of the plots has been different. But I feel that I have been doing a film from the same genre and my new year resolution is that I would not do more than one film from one genre.
If one looks at the kind of films that I have been doing, it may appear like I have been following a pattern. It is only so because as the member of the audience I also love the kind of films that I have been doing. But I will break this pattern now and will add more films like lootera, the role which was physically and mentally draining for me, to my body of work.
I will maintain that I do work that I strongly feel for,” she said and added that she looks forward to work with directors like Imtiaz Ali and Ayan Mukherjee. “I have also decided that I will not involve myself in two-three films at the same time. I will finish one property and then only will move onto the other,” she added.
Sonakshi will be seen in a women-centric film by AR Murugadoss, the filmmaker who made films like Holiday and Ghajini. “I think it is a good time to venture into that zone and the film is very relevant to the present times,” she said.
