Ajit Sharma has taken charge as the new director of Delhi Metro Rail Corporation’s (DMRC) Finance department. Prior to joining DMRC, Sharma was working as the Finance director of the Mumbai Railway Vikas Corporation Limited (MRVC), a PSU under the Ministry of Railways.
He is an electrical engineer from PEC, Chandigarh and MBA from the faculty of management studies in Delhi University and has a vast experience of 32 years with distinction in various capacities in the Indian Railways as well as in areas of planning and dealing with multilateral development banks in procurement and financing during his tenure in Mumbai Railway Vikas Corporation. He has extensively studied railways systems across the world and has in-depth knowledge of both suburban and non-suburban railway systems.
