Executive Director, NHPC and former Chairman, BBMB, A.B. Agrawal, participated in panel discussion on 'Development of Hydro Projects: Issues and Possible Solutions' organized by India Energy Forum at New Delhi.
During the discussion, Agrawal gave his expert insights into various issues related to development of hydropower projects. He highlighted that problem of water scarcity should be addressed for planning the execution of hydroelectric projects. Also, he stressed on educating the masses and policy makers on benefits of hydropower and the need to understand the issues being faced by local population where hydropower projects are being executed. Agrawal further advocated on the viability of hydropower projects.
