A group of girl students on an education excursion tour organised by Indo-Tibetan Border Police (ITBP) met with president Pranab Mukherjee at Rashtrapati Bhawan. Under Civic Action Plan (CAP), ITBP had organised this education excursion tour for 15 girl students and one teacher from Aalo, West Siang, a border district of Arunachal Pradesh.
Mukherjee inspired the students during the the meeting and wished them a bright future ahead. Krishna Chaudhary, DG and other senior officers of ITBP were also present. The students will visit historical places of New Delhi, Agra and Mathura during this education tour.
ITBP has been primarily safeguarding the typical high altitude Indo-China Border since inception in 1962. Besides security duties, it also conducts various schemes under CAP and Border Area Development Programme (BADP) in border areas.
