SRM’s cultural inter-university fest Prisma will involve several fun activities and live performances

It is said that good things last for a very short while, or to put it in other words, “All good things must come to an end”. Prisma 2018, however, has exceeded nearly all possible limitations and has become more than a good thing. It has outgrown the definition of a good thing, an event or even a University fest, for that matter. This year it is set to be celebrated within premises during April 27 to 28.

Prisma is SRM’s cultural Inter-University fest, and arguably going to prove one of the best festivals conducted in Haryana. Prisma has transformed from being an intra-University fest to a versatile, multi-faceted extravaganza which caters to the need of every type of college student, be it the studious ones or the ones who just seek some entertainment in their lives. One of the best features of Prisma is its versatility and its ability to withstand the test of time.

Students at the University will tap their feet with Punjabi artist Akhil on Star Night and DJ Kunal on DJ Night. Akhil is a force to reckon within the realm of Punjabi music as a scintillating performer.

All great things have humble beginnings, and similarly, PRISMA 2018 also began as a small Intra-University fest. The term Prisma is not a common name, its meaning suggests it is a rainbow which also means contentment and happiness.

For the first time, Prisma brings lot of fun activities like rubics, battle of bands, Resonance (sufi shaam), nukkad natak, battle of bands, wordsmith, sher-o-shayari and photography contest.

In addition to the cultural events, there will also be other activities like literary events, t-shirt painting, mask making, collage making, portrait sketching, tongue twister and many more.

Prisma also organises various workshops such as mad ads, water balloon challenge, fashion event ramp walk, duster face challenge, gems game, coin balancing challenge et al, which cater to the versatile interests of the participants.

These workshops are a great crowd-puller as not only do they allow students to get a basic understanding of the topic, but also allow them to enjoy the other festivities without any hindrance. The themes of the workshops makes sure that every student gets to learn something new with these events

The number of sponsors and partners for Prisma have definitely increased manifold this year.

Beginning with a shoestring budget, Prisma has come a long way to attract many sponsors, such as Avon, Bigwig, 4Yuva and many more in list. This clearly indicates the herculean transition undergone to become one of India’s most popular college fests.
