Harmony 2017 is a blend of ethnicity and eternity. By Mihir Banerjee

Max Muller, mesmerised by spectacular beauty of India, once commented that India is the only country in the world that has been endowed with wealth, beauty and power and probably the sole one, whose snow-clad mountain peaks, lush green fields, sprawling deserts and deep oceans seduce the world.  Flaunting Indias’ rich heritage, culture and traditions would not be an exaggeration. Irrefutably, a glimpse of India can be seen in a young and vibrant state of Haryana, the land of greenery and prosperity where lord Krishna sermonised through the holy Gita, leaving rich legacy of pragmatic ways to live joyfully.  In fact, Haryana is predominantly a land of opportunities where nestle the top most IT companies, automobile industry, herbal parks and research centers. In just 50 years, it has touched the pinnacle of growth and development. With an aim to show-case Indias’ diversity and rich heritage,  the National Integrated Forum of Artists and Activists (NIFAA) is going to commemorate Haryana’s Golden Jubilee through Harmony 2017, a confluence of crafts, culture, trade and youth activities.  It is worth to mention that NIFAA earned a good reputation in organising in mega events and apart from National Youth Award it has 6 Guinness World Records in basket of its achievements. Harmony 2017 would be a great opportunity for the artists as well as entrepreneurs as it offers special pavilions for International tourism, craft, agriculture technologies, consumer and auto sector and of course, tableaux of Government-initiated schemes.

Harmony 2017 is a privilege to witness the cultural spirit of India and also to be a part of this unique event. Interestingly, this festival will foster friendly relations and understanding between Indian artists and the International community of artists and activists.

It would be a dream come true to see the artists from Japan, Mauritius, New Zealand, Hong Kong, Indonesia, Russia, UAE, Sri lanka, Nepal and scores of other countries coming under the scintillating umbrella of cultural oneness, irrespective of their diversity.  Undoubtedly, it will be something spectacular to have the celebrities from art, culture, Bollywood, sports stars, representatives of different countries, artists who have carved out a niche for themselves and so on, gathering in Karnal, the city of Kalpana Chawla and Danvir Karna, leaving imprint of cultural fusion for decades to come and conveying a message of unity, brotherhood and peace.  The august presence of the spiritual leaders, Governors of various states, Chief Ministers, Union Ministers, Ambassadors of different countries and Ministers of States would add grace to Harmony 2017. The Republic of Mauritius as a partner country and the state of Jharkhand as a partner state are among the invitees.  The patronage of the Government of Haryana adds impetus to Harmony 2017 and fuels the realisation of dream of having the largest ever participants and audience from India and abroad.

From handicraft and trade expositions to amusement parks, culinary flavors from all over the country, NIFAA anticipates over 100,000 people to attend Harmony 2017 in just nine days. This is an unprecedented level of promotion for many people and vendors involved and for sponsors, this is paramount and essential opportunity to reach the youngest and the brightest minds that India has to offer.

Take a break from October 21 to 29 and go home richer by experiencing folk dances, sports and adventure events, seminars on most crucial issues and the list is endless. Be a part of very happening and vibrant event that will elate and exuberate you.  Rest assured that you may be from India or abroad, many of you would explore your roots and go enlightened and enthusiastic.
