Priyanka rings in 36th birthday

Actress PRIYANKA CHOPRA turned 36 on Wednesday and celebrated her special day in london. She shared on social media the image of a plate which had “Happy Birthday Priyanka” written in chocolate, along with a dessert to go with it. “And it starts!! Yay...,” she wrote, without giving a hint if she was with American singer Nick Jonas. She is yet to officially announce they are dating.

“I have had bouts of situational depression and my heart was broken last year because, unknowingly, I put so much validity in the reaction of the public, but they didn't react in the way I had expected about the album.”

Actress TAAPSEE PANNU, who plays a lawyer in the film Mulk, was inspired by Pink and Badla co-star Amitabh Bachchan, who played a lawyer in her first film with him in 2016. She took nuances of his role and applied that to the preparation of her own role as a lawyer this time around. His portrayal is one of the best of a lawyer on screen, according to her.

“On celluloid, Bachchan sirs character and role in Pink and his portrayal of a stern yet convincing lawyer for me was the best point of reference. Since I have worked with him on the film in 2016, I had a good point of reference of how he executed the role. While of course we are diverse as actors and the kind of role I essay and situations of my role are much different, there were still nuances of the role which I picked up.” The character will be seen fighting allegations against her father-in-law, who becomes a victim of religious discrimination on being accused of raising a terrorist son.

Mike ready to reunite

Rocker MIKE SHINODA is ready to get back with the rock band linkin Park, a year after frontman Chester Bennington’s death — if that is what his bandmates want.

The band regrouped for a memorial show at the Hollywood Bowl in October and Shinoda, who started playing solo sets at festivals this year, believes the time is right to at least talk about the future of linkin Park.

“I'm just taking it one step at a time and keeping my mind open to the possibilities, whether it's doing things under my name or working with other artists or producing tracks for somebody else or if the guys are at a point where they wanna play linkin Park shows,” Shinoda said.
