Roshan turns mathematician

Actor Hrithik Roshan, who will be seen as Patna-based mathematician Anand Kumar in a biopic titled Super 30, says it's an exciting role as teachers are the stars in everyone's lives. The biopic will showcase the life of the mathematician, who trains 30 deserving, economically backward students for IIT-JEE each year, with a commendable success rate.

Roshan said, “I am very excited because I am on the heels of doing a very inspiring film called Super 30. I feel one of the most glamorous thing and the biggest stars we have in our life are our teachers because they educate and help in progress of human species.”

‘Politics has taken a very strong hold on everything today. It's very easy to say that, ‘Why doesn't the film industry take a standIJ' What happens is that it ultimately affects the film as new problems come up. Unfortunately this happened to us even when the underworld was ruling.’

Filmmaker Aanand l Rai, who is co-producing Anurag Kashyap's directorial venture Mukkabaz, says he doesn't interfere with the casting in a film as he feels he would rather cast the right director to do justice to a good story. He said, “Well, Anurag is the director of the film and he wanted to project reality in a certain manner by casting his choice of actors. As a producer, I never interfere in that process because I cast the director of the film.”

‘I wasn't victim-blaming’

Actress Pamela Anderson has slammed claims she was “victim-blaming” when she suggested Harvey Weinstein's accusers “knew what they were getting into”. The 50-year-old actress and model caused controversy when she hinted at the idea that the women who have accused the disgraced producer of sexual harassment should have known what would happen if they went “into a hotel room alone.” Now, the Baywatch star has clarified her comments, insisting that she was not blaming those who have accused Weinstein, but stands by her claims that women “must be aware” of their surroundings.
