‘People don't want to marry’

Actress Shraddha Kapoor, who is playing the lead role in Mohit Suri's forthcoming film Half Girlfriend, says these days while parents are quite open about the idea of love marriages and live-in relationships.

Asked about her opinion on becoming a ‘half girlfriend', she said, “There are relationships in all our lives that you cannot name. You have someone who is more than just a friend but not exactly a boyfriend...”

“I have seen people who do not want to commit in a relationship. At times do not want to settle down... On the other hand, our parents — are becoming more accepting towards  our choice, even if it is a live-in relation. “I talk to my parents about it openly,” she added.

‘For the first time, I finally understand the concept of self-love and self-care. I'm single and happy, and busy. I haven't been single for a long time. It's like being born again. You can be with someone and it can be really good for your growth. That's what Dev was for me. The seven years I was with him were so impactful.’

‘Covered her bruises for years’

Singer Mel B's make-up artist has come forward to support her and claims he knew about her estranged husband Stephen Belafonte's violent behaviour as he has been concealing her bruises for years.

The artist said he often overheard Belafonte being “aggressive and verbally abusive” to the former Spice Girl backstage.

The artist has even offered to draft a sworn declaration of all the marks he has seen over the years for Mel B's lawyers to help with divorce proceedings.

Mel B and Belafonte are currently in a bitter divorce battle after 10 years of their marriage.

The make-up artist said Belafonte had been “controlling” her and often called Mel B and their children “ugly” or “disgusting”.
