IMPPA bans Pak stars and techies
After the Indian Army carried out surgical strikes on terror launch pads in Pakistan-occupied-Kashmir (PoK), Indian Motion Picture Producers Association (IMPPA) on Thursday adopted a resolution banning Pakistani actors and technicians in India till normalcy returned. Confirming this, filmmaker and Association's vice president Ashok Pandit said that his association had adopted the resolution keeping in view its responsibility towards nation. “IMPPA in its AGM paid homage to the martyrs who were killed in Uri. It therefore felt its responsibility towards the nation and passed a resolution banning Pakistani actors & technicians in India till normalcy returns. For IMPPA, nation comes first,” Pandit said.
On September 27, the MNS activists staged a protest in front of the production house of Karan Johar, leading to the arrest of 15 of them. If the prevailing mood within the MNS is anything to go by, Karan Johar’s Ae Dil Hai Mushkil, in which Pakistan actor Fawad Khan with Ranbir Kapoor, Aishwarya Rai Bachchan and Anushka Sharma, will run into trouble ahead of its release.

‘Terrorism should be countered’
Hailing the surgical strikes by Indian Army on terror launch pads across the loC, John Abraham said it is time the country responds to terrorism.
“We are proud, we should have done this earlier. It's high time we respond to terrorism. As a country we are very tolerant and I think we should put our foot down and show what India can do,” he said.
On Pakistani actors usually refraining from condemning attacks on India and its soldiers, John said, “It is important what we do, we are not in a position to opinionate what others do and don't do. We can solely give our opinion.”
