Achievements in BC Division for the last two years:
1. launching of new Scheme of National Fellowship for OBCs
To provide financial assistance to the OBC students for obtaining quality higher education leading to degrees such as M.Phil and Ph.D in universities, research institutions and scientific institutions
2. launch of new Scheme for Economically Backward Classes (EBCs)
Dr Ambedkar Post-Matric Scholarship Scheme for EBCs was launched in 2014-15.
3. launch of new scheme Dr Ambedkar Scheme of Interest Subsidy on Educational loan for Overseas Studies for OBCs/EBCs
For promoting higher studies in foreign universities, Dr. Ambedkar Scheme of Interest Subsidy on Educational loan for Overseas Studies for OBCs/EBCs was launched in 2014-15.
4. launch of new Schemes for Denotified, Nomadic and Semi-Nomadic Tribes (DNTs)
To bring about a focused intervention on the social and economic empowerment of Denotified, Nomadic and Semi-Nomadic Tribes (DNTs), who have been at the peripheries of the society for a long time, schemes namely, (i) Dr Ambedkar Pre-Matric and Post-Matric Scholarship for the DNTs and (ii) Nanaji Deshmukh Scheme of Construction of Hostels were launched in 2014-15.
