‘Thrillers have repeat value’
Filmmaker Sujoy Ghosh, who is busy promoting his forthcoming film Te3n, says many people feel that thrillers don't have a repeat value. While Bollywood is mostly known for making romantic films, Ghosh said there is a “misconception” regarding thrillers. “There is a misconception... When I was trying to sell Kahaani to people, they were like what a stupid script it is. Unfortunately, everybody feels once the climax is known, the film has no value. They think a thriller film doesn't have a repeat value,” Ghosh said.
However, he said that this mindset is not correct. “In any film it is the journey of the film which is important because the climax is only the last 10 minutes of the film. That is the mindset we have that a thriller may not have a repeat audience, which I don't think is true,” he added.

Known for his choice of unconventional roles, Jessie Eisenberg is all set this year with Now you See me 2. “I'm not a film buff. I didn't go to film school. I have a degree in anthropology. I write plays. I work for the medium that's on offer. The film industry has changed. There is no room for the films I would like to make. Woody Allen is the last man standing. He still makes reasonable, independent films,” he said.
Hermione can be black: Rowling
British author JK Rowling has defended the decision to cast black actress Noma Dumezweni as Hermione Granger in the upcoming london stage play Harry Potter and the Cursed Child. “With my experience of social media, I thought that idiots were going to idiot,” she said. “But what can you sayIJ That’s the way the world is. Noma was chosen because she was the best actress for the job.” She continued: “I had a bunch of racists telling me that because Hermione ‘turned white’ — that is, lost colour from her face after a shock — that she must be a white woman, which I have a great deal of difficulty with. I simply state firmly that Hermione can be a black woman with my absolute blessing and enthusiasm.”
