Curator Sheena Agarwal says her store will offer styling and beauty tips that go best with the garment you pick
There are no dearth of fashion stores in the city, showcasing designer and non desiner outfits. In fact, there are so many that you would often find it difficult to choose one. Some are good for Western wear, some for traditional and ethnic and some for just a mix of all things good.
Agashe,the latest store in town, embodies pret fashion and all of the above. But the USP of the store lies in its unique gesture of helping a customer with styling and beauty tips with purchases. According to the curator, Sheena Agarwal, the store will cater to the modern day woman as the collection is easy to wear and designed for all occasions.
What was the idea behind the store, AgasheIJ
The idea behind was to create a destination for fashion lovers in Delhi where they could find garments which is fun, easy to wear and super stylish. We realised that, today, women have the need to look stylish not just at someone’s wedding but also for various events, award functions et al. Not always can one wear the very ornate variants. Hence our store. It’s a space where you can find something dressy and fun to wear for a cocktail or mehendi function or to an award function or even on a luncheon with the ladies.
Why did you make it pret fashionIJ
I believe that pret is what is in vogue today. It’s something every woman should own in her everyday wardrobe. I saw that gap in the market as there aren’t too many options when one is looking out for pret wear.
There are many designer stores in the city. How do you aim to be differentIJ
Every store has its own niche I believe. Ours is pret. We promise our clients the best of pret wear from the best designers in the segment. Also, we have priced our offering in a way that it doesn’t pinch the buyers.
Who would you say is your target customersIJ
My target customer is a woman who owns it every time she looks at herself in the mirror. She is a fashion lover, she is a high on energy and she dresses up everyday of her life.
Apart from clothes what are the other things that one can find in AgasheIJ
Apart from clothes, you are sure to find exquisite fresh water pearl jewellery, fun fashion jewellery and accessories from a fashion website which houses brands like Alexander McQueen, Armani (sunglasses only), Coach, Dolce & Gabbana, Etro, Marc Jacobs, Miu Miu, Prada, Tory Burch (sunglasses only), Valentino and Vivienne Westwood.
Was it difficult to get so many designers on boardIJ
Honestly, not! We are fortunate to house designer who not only know their fashion but also are extremely supportive towards a new venture like mine. Each of them have been extremely co-operative as people. For that matter, thanks to the relationship we share with them, if there is any garment by the designers stocked with us that ones aspires to own, we promise to procure it for them.
