Bajirao Mastani trending in US

Actress Priyanka Chopra says the cast and crew of her international TV series Quantico are excited about her period drama Bajirao Mastani.

“There is a lot of excitement for Bajirao Mastani' here. My entire cast and crew is going to have a special screening. They want clothes from film and they're very excited,” Priyanka told reporters from the US during the trailer launch of Bajirao Mastani.

Ranveer Singh and Deepika Padukone, who also play lead roles in the film, were present during the launch with the director of the film Sanjay leela Bhansali.

Priyanka said that the response she is getting for the film is amazing.

“People are very excited. We were trending (on social media) in the US all day even before the trailer came out. It'd be wonderful to see how people respond to it internationally,” she said.

Veteran actress and social activist Shabana Azmi has urged the public to come in large numbers to pay tribute to the December 16, 2012 Delhi gang rape victim at Jantar Mantar here.

“Met Nirbhaya's parents today. They are organising a shradhanjali for her on 16 December at Jantar Mantar. Please come in large numbers,” the veteran actress tweeted.

The Delhi gang rape case involved a rape and fatal assault that occurred on December 16 in Delhi. The incident involved a 23-year-old girl, who was beaten and gang raped in a private bus.

Jolie getting baby fix on sets

Actress-filmmaker Angelina Jolie is getting her baby fix on sets. The 40-year-old has six children - Maddox, 14, Pax, 11, Zahara, 10, Shiloh, 9, and seven-year-old twins Knox and Vivienne - with husband Brad Pitt, but now that they are getting older she is thrilled that her new movie First They Killed My Father requires hundreds of young children.

“I'm surrounded by toys. We have 250 children in a scene, so I filled the house, my car, my trailer with toys. It's my ‘I love babies' fix,” she said. However, Jolie said the film, which is about the Khmer Rouge Regime in Cambodia, is going to be the hardest movie as it features children in labour camps.
