‘Maddox will take over charity’

Angelina Jolie wants her eldest son Maddox to run the charity she named after him in Cambodia and has hired him as a researcher on her new film. The Oscar-winning actress, who adopted Maddox from an orphanage in Cambodia in 2002, says he will take over the Maddox Jolie-Pitt Foundation, which she set up there 12 years ago. The foundation seeks to help families overcome problems associated with poverty and to help preserve the remarkable habitat and wildlife. “Maddox is already involved in the foundation and will take over when he is older. He is my son but he is also a son of Cambodia. It’s time for our family to understand all that that means to him and to us,” said Jolie.
