‘Not in talks for Ram lakhan’
Actress Shraddha Kapoor has shunned reports that she has been confirmed for filmmakers Karan Johar and Rohit Shetty's forthcoming remake of Ram lakhan.
“...I am not in talks with them for this film. No one has approached me yet, but I'd love to do a movie with Dharma production someday,” the actress said at a jewellery exhibition here.
At the exhibition that showcased an exquisite range of wedding and contemporary ornaments, the actress said she's a “typical girl who loves jewellery”.
“I am a typical girl who loves jewellery. The first ever piece of jewellery that
I ever received was from my mother, which belongs to my grandmother. She gave me a pretty pristine necklace, which is very close to me,” the Aashiqui 2 star said.
On the occasion of the World Population Day, megastar Amitabh Bachchan has “thanked” the world for addressing the India as an “emerging economy”. “Consumerism shadows those that once expressed apprehensions for a nation with 1.25 billion people being its biggest drawback...for the economists that guide and predict the state of the economics of the world, no longer refer to a 3rd world nation as 3rd...they have denoted a progressive phrase - "EMERGING ECONOMY,” the 72-year-old wrote on his blog.
“So India is no longer 3rd world, its an emerging economy... Thank you world for this consideration and for the acceptance of a fact that was always true for the nation — there are very few, indeed none, among the Independent nations, who having lived and survived foreign rule, that have shown the kind of ‘emergence’ as has India,” he added.
Bieber dedicates tattoo to ill girl
Singer Justin Bieber has dedicated his new tattoo to his friend's daughter, who is suffering from lissencephaly, a rare brain disorder.
The Beauty and the beat hitmaker shared the image on photo-sharing website Instagram, which showed Bieber's arm which is full of tattoos. Among the tattoos, the letter ‘G' appeared to be freshly inked on his arm. He had the letter inked to honour his pastor friend Chad Veach's ailing daughter. “This is for the strongest couple I know — Chad and Julia Veach! Their daughter was born with lissencephaly. She is incredible and has the sweetest soul. I'm blessed to have you in my life #Georgia #gtat,” Bieber captioned the photograph.
