While Aishwarya Rai is now considered a yummy mummy, Katrina Kaif is being hailed as a prospective one, reveals a survey
Earlier when Bollywood actresses got married, they left the stardom behind them and settled as a house maker but the trend has changed since then. Now, even after getting married, some divas seamlessly strike a balance between their home, babies and their career. Now, more than ever, they are giving tough competition to all the single, young actresses out there with their super figures even with a kid or two in tow.
Take Shilpa Shetty Kundra for example. Even After giving birth to son Viaan, she continues to remain in perfect shape. That is why she topped the first edition of a survey called Yummy Mummy in 2013. According to the survey conducted by Nielsen, amongst recent moms and dads and mothers-to-be and fathers-to-be, 72 per cent new and expecting mothers/fathers mentioned Aishwarya Rai as the Yummiest Mummy in Bollywood.
In its second year, the survey also reveals that 77 per cent new and expecting mothers/fathers mentioned Abhishek Bachchan and Aishwarya Rai as the ‘Yummy Parents’ of Bollywood’ only goes to say that Abhishek Bachchan is standing out as a role model for young fathers and fathers-to-be.The most interesting finding that emerged from the survey stated that 40 per cent new and expecting mothers/fathers mentioned Katrina Kaif as likely to be the next Yummiest Mummy in Bollywood, if she were to become a mother.
Some of the other interesting findings that came out of the survey include:
Ninety-two per cent of new and expecting fathers agreed that they wanted their wives to look the way she used to look before the pregnancy.
Ninety-six per cent of new and expecting fathers agreed that they had become more attentive to their wives’ needs during pregnancy.
Eighty-six per cent new and expecting mothers agreed that getting rid of stretch marks post pregnancy would help them regain confidence to socialise again.
According to Kiran Coelho, a preferred obstetrician for most Bollywood moms, “Bollywood mommies are under immense pressure about their looks, as they are constantly under the media arc lights. Pregnancy and post-pregnancy care tops their agenda as they want to get back to gorgeousness with reduced scars and stretch marks. For this, I usually recommend regular exercise along with the application of moisturisers and oils containing vitamin E, lavender, calendula and rosemary.”
The survey was conducted among 550 males between 25-40 year old, and 550 females aged between 25-35 years old, residing in cities like Mumbai, Delhi, Chennai, Hyderabad, Bangalore, Pune, Ahmedabad, lucknow, ludhiana, Jaipur, Chandigarh
