Deepak Kumar, IAS took over the additional charge of the Director General of Employees’ State Insurance Corporation (ESIC) under Ministry of labour and Employment, Government of India. He is an IAS officer of 1984 batch of Bihar Cadre. He is also serving as Additonal Secretary, Ministry of labour and Employment.
He has a vast experience of governance and management in the Ministries of Finance and Company affairs, External Affairs, home affairs, labour and Employment of Central Government and Revenue, Urban Development and Housing, Personnel and General Administration, Tourism, Health and Family Welfare of State Government.
Kumar is a civil engineering graduate. He is also a post graduate in Management and System from IIT Delhi.
