Reese to make Wall Street movie
Reese Witherspoon and Australian producer Bruna Papandrea's Pacific Standard Banner is developing a film adaptation of Maureen Sherry Klinsky's forthcoming novel Opening Belle. The film is being adapted for Warner Bros. The novel, which is due to be published later this year, is loosely based on Klinsky's real life experience working as a managing director at Bear Stearns, New York. It is a comic version of a woman juggling motherhood with a career at Wall Street in 2007, when she must deal with the impending financial crisis while raising three kids. Witherspoon and Papandrea formed Pacific Standard in 2012 to fill the vacuum for movies with female protagonists. They produced Wild, Gone Girl and Hot Pursuit.
