‘The audience is underestimated’
Kalki Koechlin sashayed down the ramp in Nitin Bal Chauhan’s creation during an event by the whiskey brand Cutty Sark. The design was inspired by the dress worn by the witch Nannie Dee (called Cutty-Sark), a fictional character created by Robert Burns. Kalki shared, “Cutty Sark is the first whiskey I was allowed to taste because it has vanilla, chocolatey flavour.”
The actress is looking forward to the release of her forthcoming movie Margarita, With a Straw which deals with the subject of disability and homosexuality. She feels that the Indian audience is underestimated and misunderstood. “As far as I have understood, Indian viewers have opened up a lot and they will accept the movie. Very few movies like these are made and they should see the light of day,” she said.
