Ashima Chalia, a lawyer by profession released her debut novel The Chaos Within recently. It was released by VK Gupta, member engineering, railway board. The other guests at the launch included Indian Ambassador in Ukraine Rajiv Chander, actress Richa Chadha and senior railway officers.
The book is a heartwarming tale of five college friends who called themselves the Fiasco Five, the most popular group of friends of St Magnum College. Although they go their se ways after graduation, a reunion invitation gives them an opportunity to relive their lives as they once enjoyed. They do not realise that once they reach their alma mater, not only will their past catch them off guard but their lives will also no longer be the same.
As the friends stare down the barrel of the gun, quite literally, the critical question remains — is it too lateIJ It dwells on the most cherished college memories and an incident at the reunion that changes their lives. It is a roller-coaster ride of fun, laughter, hatred and courage that bears testament to the most enduring relationship of all — friendship.
“I hold degree in law from the National law University, Jodhpur. I have successfully worked for more than three years in corporate consultancy with one of the leading consultancy houses. It was during this time that I realised that my true passion lay in creative writing and in order to pursue that I dedicated all my time to writing my first work of fiction — The Chaos Within,” said the author.
