‘I have written some bad films’
Be it scripts or dialogues, Anurag Kashyap has written for many directors like Ram Gopal Varma and Vikramaditya Motwane. But the filmmaker is not particularly proud of some of his works created for fellow directors. “I've made good movies but I've written some bad films. I won't take their names as they are by some other filmmakers' movies. But the ones the audience didn't like are the ones I am talking about,” he said. The filmmaker, who is set to release his directorial Bombay Velvet in 2015, says he needs to make a film every year. “I've to make a film every year. If my previous work is successful, it encourages me to experiment. Every film gives you freedom to do more and freedom has to be earned,” he added.
Karan Johar has been wowing the audience with his breezy entertainers since 1998, but the filmmaker says he doesn't have the “ability” to make films like Rajkumar Hirani. Johar says he is envious of him. “I've been pitted against everyone and I feel envious. I am envious of Hirani. I've never managed to do what he does. His movies have genius ideas. I don't have the ability. I would love to make those kind of movies,” he said.
Priyanka Chopra contributed to Swachh Bharat Campaign. The actress posted her video on Twitter and tweeted, “Gandhiji said ‘Be the change you want to see'- thank you @narendramodi for reminding me of that! #MyCleanIndia can happen! #ChangingMindsets (sic). Her efforts were applauded by PM Narendra Modi, who retweeted, “An innovative effort by @priyankachopra. It is a wonderful way to bring people together to create a Swachh Bharat. Kudos! #MyCleanIndia (sic).”
Ryan found his dad ‘scary’
Actor Ryan Reynolds says he found his father “scary”. Ryan was once specifically ‘terrified’ of his dad's reaction to the ear piercing that he got when he was younger. Nevertheless, the 38-year-old says that his father Jim worked “tirelessly” to provide support to their family. “(He was) the toughest man alive — a former cop, former boxer and full-time land mine. He worked tirelessly to provide for his family and in return, you were expected to do what he said, often before he said it,” Reynolds wrote in Time magazine's column. “In a word, he was scary. Not because he was sadistic or physically abusive. He was scary because he was one of those people with an energetic weight to him.”
