Secret affair

Kangana Ranaut was recently asked on the Anupam Kher Show about an incident that had happened when she was in Mumbai. Responding to Kher she said, “I thought staying in Bombay for a month and auditioning would help. An agent took me to Mahesh Bhatt's office. There I met Mohit Suri and Anurag who saw my pictures. After auditioning Bhatt saab said that I was too young for the role and they needed someone of 28-29 years of age. later I heard that they signed Shiney Ahuja and Chitrangada Singh. Suddenly one day after two months, Anurag called me desperately and said they needed to leave for an outdoor shoot immediately and were unable to get through Chitrangada. So Anurag said ‘Chalo Chalo ab tumhara hi make up karke thodi badi dikhayenge, tum hi kar lo film’. That's how I got Gangster.”

Help at hand

Kartik Vyas, the 20-year-old differently abled Allahabad Boy, has been receiving accolades for his smashing performances on Zee TV’s Cine Stars Ki Khoj. Vyas was able to impress Salman Khan, too, who visited the sets with Jacqueline Fernandes to promote his film. Kartik presented a comic mime act and left the judges spell-bound by his performance. Salman Khan, oblivious to his physical disability, applauded his performance. After being told by the judges that Kartik cannot hear or speak, it took Salman a couple of minutes to recover and gain composure to speak. Salman immediately offered to help the family treat their son and  said that he will be cured during the show itself .

A comic return

Comedian Sunil Grover, whose popularity went several notches higher when he essayed the drag act of Guthhi on Comedy Nights With Kapil, is now back on the show. This time, Sunil will be seen as a stubborn and obnoxious father-in-law to the show's lead Kapil Sharma. Sunil left the hugely appreciated show to start a new show independently, but his Mad In India didn't work in his favour. He is now back on Comedy Nights With Kapil to raise the humour quotient as the father of Manju, a role played by actress Sumona Chakravarty. He was visibly excited to join hands with the cast and crew of Comedy Nights With Kapil, said a source.
