Aishwarya Rai Bachchan attended the opening ceremony of the 20th Commonwealth Games in Scotland's largest city as the longines Ambassador of Elegance.
Aishwarya, who was dressed in a black coat with her lustrous locks tied in a high bun, was accompanied at the event Wednesday by longines President Walter von Kanel. The Swiss luxury watch brand longines is the official timekeeper and watch of the CWG. It provides more than 190 timekeepers and 122 tonnes of equipment to support the event. Veteran British actress Dora Bryan, still remembered for her role in A Taste of Honey, died at 91. Her son Daniel released a statement saying: “It was heartbreaking, but it was peaceful. She was a tiny woman but her constitution was incredible. She loved being on stage, that's what she wanted. Not only did she do it, but she was good at it.” Born Dora May Broadbent in 1923, she started acting as a child and also worked in theatre.
For a crucial sequence in the forthcoming biopic Mary Kom, based on the life of Olympic bronze medallist boxer MC Mary Kom, Priyanka Chopra went for a bald look. The actress says it was her “responsibility” to do justice to her character. Priyanka's bold look can be seen even in the film's promos. The actress says she was very excited about it — so much so that she was all around the film's set in that look. “Mary has done it (gone bald) in her life. This is an authentic scene in the film and I was very excited about it,” said the actress.
Zee TV’s Eid special shoot Dawat-e-Eid came as an opportunity for the actors to break free from their daily routine of shooting on their sets and bonding with other actors from the Zee family they hadn’t met before. Parineeti Chopra was a part of celebrations and promoted her forthcoming film.
