‘I can’t think of copying Rekha’
Sonam Kapoor, who has stepped into the shoes of Rekha for the remake version of Khoobsurat, says she cannot do justice to what the veteran actress did in the original film. Khoobsurat is the remake of Hrishikesh Mukherjee's cult comedy which featured Rekha in the lead role.
“I don't think I can do justice to what Rekha has done. This film is an ode to Hrishikesh Mukherjee's filmmaking. There are very few films that have been wholesome entertainers and have great value. Hrishikesh Mukherjee's films appealed to all as they were fun films with a message. Today such films are made by Raju Hirani,” Sonam said.
The film is set to release on September 19 and Sonam is nervous as well as excited about it.
Art travels across borders. It knows no culture and creed. As an actor, I would like to explore myself. I do feel bad, but I choose to ignore criticism. I think that to pay attention to it is unnecessary

Amitabh Bachchan has shared his intense look for his forthcoming film Shamitabh. The actor, who will be seen in a rugged look with grey unkempt moustache and beard, said it has become difficult to hide the get-up from paparazzi. “...that be the pensiveness from Shamitabh... It is getting exceedingly difficult to preserve a look for a film or occasion when we have millions of mobile cameras following us and immortalising us... Thank you,” Bachchan posted on his blog.
Photo-healing therapy for Adele
Popular singer Adele has a phobia of being caught on camera. She is reportedly undergoing photo-healing therapy on Skype to cure her fear of being pictured. The Skyfall singer has been looking into ways to overcome it ahead of her huge music comeback in the near future. “Adele has always been camera shy but with her big and imminent comeback, her fear of being thrust back into the limelight is growing,” said a source.
“She knows she will have paps (paparazzi) following her every move when her album is released and wants to be better prepared.” A close friend recommended Adele to get in touch with a “photo healer.” “He has been coaching her with a series of one-hour therapy sessions.”
