‘Small films don’t get a fair chance’
Actor-director Rajat Kapoor finds it disheartening that small but content-driven films are not given a chance to fairly compete at the box office. Kapoor is best known for directing films like Raghu Romeo, Mixed Doubles, Mithya and most recently Ankho Dekhi. “I know the film did not do well and we all know the reason too. The film has not been given any chance to compete as distributors don't have faith in us because there is no star. Movies like this are given a 4 pm slot in Gurgaon. Even my friends could not go to see it,” Kapoor said. Sharing his experience of watching the film with the audience, Kapoor said he has seen more than 25 shows of Ankho Dekhi with the audience. “I come from theatre background. When we perform on stage, we can feel what the audience likes and what they don't, this help us improve accordingly. The same things goes here too,” he said.
My film is about Prakash Jaju, not Priyanka Chopra. It is about his experiences in Bollywood and will cover the entire entertainment industry. I respect and admire Priyanka. In no way am I trying to malign or hurt her

Jolie wants to focus on writing
Angelina Jolie says acting is going to take a “backseat” for her as she want to continue exploring directing and humanitarian work.
Jolie will be seen in Maleficent to be released on May 28, a movie that will see her take on the title role. She was last seen on the big screen after The Tourist (2010) however, she lent her voice to Kung Fu Panda 2 (2011). “I've had a wonderful career. I'm sure there will be a few more films, but I am happy that I am able to be more selective and have fun with roles like this. But I would like to focus more on writing and directing and above all, I would like to focus more on my work with the UN and the PSBI (Pearl S Buck International),” said the actress.
