Arjun wants to prove versatility
After playing the action hero in Ishaqzaade and Gunday, Arjun Kapoor essays a loverboy in his latest release 2 States, and he can only be thankful that it has given him a chance to explore a different look and genre.
He hopes the audience slowly becomes more confident about his work. “I am thankful that people have broken that stereotype about me in their head. I wasn't targetting becoming an action hero or a lover boy...the idea is that people should watch my work and with every passing film, they should feel more confident about me,” the 28-year-old said. Arjun loves that his 2 States character Krish is non-heroic. “The feedback till now tells that they have liked the subtlety of my character,” he said.

The very versatile and committed Amole Gupte is a reluctant actor. Proof of this lies in the fact that he has just edited himself out of his own directorial venture Hawaa Hawaai. “I took it off. I thought, what was I doingIJ It looked too gimmicky. Subhash Ghai can make an appearance in his films because he makes larger-than-life films. My film is too true to life for gimmicks,” he said. Hawaa Hawaai is set for release on May 9. He had a cameo in the film but decided to delete it. The film is about a roller-skating teacher (Saqib Saleem) and his favourite pupil (played by Amole's very talented son Partho).
Katy Perry wants to be a mother!
Singer Katy Perry has reportedly told friends that she is yearning to become a mother. However, she doesn't think she needs to be in a relationship for this. “Katy wants kids as soon as possible. She's not talking about new boyfriends so much as finding a guy who can get her pregnant without expecting marriage,” radaronline quoted a source as saying.
The 29-year-old will be off for her The Prismatic World Tour to Belfast on May 7 and she thinks having a baby afterwards would be good for her.
“If she goes through with this, it will be as much a publicity stunt as anything else in her career. As she admits to her friends all the time, she is addicted to attention,” said another source. Perry split from former husband and comedian Russell Brand in December 2011.
