‘Indian cinema has global reach’
The fact that the US has opened its doors to host the International Indian Film Academy (IIFA) Weekend and Awards is testimony to the growing awareness about Indian cinema in that side of the world, says veteran actor Anil Kapoor, who has experience of both Bollywood and Hollywood. The 15th edition of IIFA will be held in Tampa Bay in Florida this April. Preparations are on in full swing to make stars feel at home and to bring fans closer to them. Anil believes that there's a ‘sense of business' in everything that happens in the US. “One of the reasons that IIFA is happening in the US is because there is awareness about Indian cinema, which is popularly identified here (in the US) as Bollywood,” said Anil.

Kapil Sharma's unique style of interviewing his guests on his show Comedy Nights With Kapil is loved by all. But the experience of being interviewed by child actor Sadhil Kapoor on chat show Captain Tiao turned out to be “fabulous” for the popular comedian. The child's inquisitiveness made Kapil recall his own childhood days. Captain Tiao will premiere on Disney Channel on March 2.
Ellen confesses she is gay
Actress Ellen Page has come out of the closet and said that she is gay. She made the revelation at the Human Rights Campaign's Time to Thrive event recently. Page, who has been seen in films like Juno, Smart People and Inception, said that she did this to make this confession easier for others as well, reports contactmusic.com. “I'm here today because I'm gay...and because maybe I can make a difference — to help others have an easier and more hopeful time,” Page said.
“Regardless, for me, I feel a personal obligation and a social responsibility. I also do it selfishly, because I am tired of hiding and I am tired of lying by omission. I suffered for years because I was scared to be out. My spirit suffered, my mental health suffered and my relationships suffered. And I'm standing here today, with all of you, on the other side of all that pain,” she added.
