Troubled pop sensation Justin Bieber has been charged with assault after he allegedly attacked a limousine driver last month in Toronto. The 19-year-old singer turned himself in to the 52 Division police station in Toronto to be formally charged. Bieber and his entourage were allegedly involved in an altercation while leaving a Toronto Maple leafs game on December 29 last year at the Air Canada Centre and police were forced to intervene.
The best original song nomination of controversial Alone Yet Not Alone has been revoked by the Academy's Board of Governors. The decision was prompted by the discovery that its composer Bruce Broughton, a former Governor and current Music Branch executive committee member of the Academy, had emailed members to make them aware of his submission during the nominations voting period.
Nigaar Khan is back to the limelight with yet another interesting role! After celebrating the success of her sister Gauahar Khan’s victory in Colors’ recent edition of Bigg Boss, the actor known for her vampish roles will now be seen in Yash Patnaik’s suspense thriller Main Naa Bhoolungi on Sony Entertainment Television. A source says that Nigaar will come in to play the main negative lead in the show.
Bob Dylan’s new commercial
Music legend Bob Dylan will appear in a Super Bowl commercial and his 1966 hit song I Want You will be featured in another advertisement. The 74 year-old singer/songwriter will appear in a new commercial for Chrysler, which will be the latest in the automobile's series of cinematic Super Bowl ads, according to Rolling Stone magazine. Dylan's name joins a list of other major entertainment stars, including Eminem, Clint Eastwood, who have appeared in Chrysler ads in recent years for the annual NFl game. It is not yet known which Dylan song will feature in the commercial. Although the singer has been known to be strict when it comes to licencing his music for commercial purposes, in recent years Dylan has eased his approach on the matter.
