Hrithik undergoes brain surgery
A head injury during the shoot of Bang Bang in Phuket is what landed Hrithik Roshan at the Hinduja hospital, says his father and filmmaker Rakesh Roshan. The 39-year-old underwent a successful brain surgery at Mumbai's Hinduja Hospital Sunday afternoon. Rakesh said, “He was doing a stunt where he had to put a jet on his feet and go 30 feet high in the sky and then dive down in the water.” “So when he rehearsed, he fell the wrong way and banged his head a bit, which he didn't realise. That started his pain and he started taking pain killers, thinking it will get fine in few days because something similar had happened during Kaho Naa... Pyaar Hai also. The pain subsided, but only to return a month later. The shoot of the third schedule of the movie has been moved forward for Hrithik.

Prince Andrew, the Duke of York, has become the first member of the British royal family to open an official Twitter account. Andrew, fourth in line to the throne, chose @TheDukeOfYork as his handle on the micro-blogging site, BBC reported. His first tweet was, “Welcome to my Twitter account — AY”. If the tweets are signed AY, they would be written by Andrew himself. The prince served for 22 years in the Royal Navy as a helicopter pilot.
John dedicates song to Perry
Singer-songwriter John Mayer dedicated his new song A face to call home to on-and-off girlfriend, singer Katy Perry at the opening night of his Born & Raised tour in Milwaukee, Wisconsin. The 35-year-old publicly declared his love for Perry, who was present at the concert July 6. “I was just getting to know a girl and started really reconsidering just how difficult everything was going to be, right as he (the doctor) was putting the needle through my neck,” a website quoted Mayer as saying. “And she was more incredible than I ever thought because I would whisper in her ear and she would order for me, and I would whisper in her ear and she would tell people, ‘It was nice to meet you, he says’,” he added.
