YRF co-producing movie on Bergman
Yash Raj Films (YRF) Entertainment will co-produce a film on legendary Swedish actress Ingrid Bergman. The production banner has got the movie rights of writer Chris Greenhalgh's novel Seducing Ingrid Bergman.
Uday Chopra of YRF Entertainment, his home banner's Hollywood wing, has collaborated with writer Arash Amel to co-produce the movie, which is expected to narrate the real-life affair between the actress and war photographer Robert Capa, as told in the novel.
The script is nearly over. This is YRF Entertainment's second collaboration with Amel, who worked on Olivier Dahan’s Grace of Monaco. It releases year end by the Weinstein Company.
Sonam imitates Madhubala’s sari
As Indian Cinema celebrates 100 years of existence, Bollywood actress SONAM KAPOOR shared that she copied legendary MADHUBAlA'S sari from a song for a press conference. “There was a sari that Madhubala wore for Achcha ji main haari....,” Sonam said. “It was simple and elegant with a black border. The blouse had three-fourth sleeves and the back had black buttons on the right,” she added. Kapoor wore the sari likewise with a vintage hair-do, a wrist watch and a black batua.
Delhi government conferred a lifetime Achievement Award on veteran artist Anjolie Ela Menon at the unveiling of a mural by her, titled, The Walled City, at the T3 terminus. It presents a slice of life of the old city's Mughal history She said the mural was “a typical inner city street in India.” “This street in a walled city is a microcosm of the Indian street. This is where people live, work, travel, ply their trades, interact, romance, play, celebrate and protest. Here human beings and animals co-exist in surprising harmony,” Menon commented.

Hollywood actor BRAD PITT has gifted his actress-girlfriend ANGElINA JOlIE £3,000 worth of slinky underwear for her birthday. The actress recently underwent a double mastectomy to reduce her risk of breast cancer. The 49-year-old actor bought her a stack of knickers and bras from Agent Provocateur — as well as other designer brands.
Pitt handed over a load of gifts while they were in Paris for the premiere of his horror film World War Z. A source said, “Since Angie recovered from the surgery, she and Brad have been acting like a lovestruck teenagers. “It was her birthday, Tuesday, Brad arranged for French fashion designer Heidi Slimane, from Saint laurent in Paris, to sort her out with a new wardrobe.”
