Ranee Narah, minister of state for Tribal Affairs and Member of Parliament from lakhimpur constituency welcomed the gathering and suggested for pondering over the issues such as Tribal Sub Plan, Forest Regulatory Act, Direct Benefit Transfer rollout, PM’s Skill Mission, and role of NSTFDC, STFDC and TRIFED etc.
In her speech, Narah applauded UPA government under the leadership of Sonia Gandhi for having brought about Forest Right Act, Direct Benefit Transfer, PM’s Skill Mission and improvement in TSP implementation etc during past nine years.
During the speech she has called up on the heads of TRIFED, NSTFDC, STFDC to gear up and to be pro-active in implementing various plans being drawn by Ministry of Tribal Affairs.
Narah has delivered this speech in a conference held by the ministry in connection with consultation with principal secretaries/secretaries and commissioners/directors of states and union territories to review implementation of various schemes and other important issues being held on 16-17 at Vigyan Bhavan Annexe, Delhi.
