A German honour for Mira Nair
Director Mira Nair will receive German Film Award for Peace, The Bridge 2013, for her movie The Reluctant Fundamentalist. The 55-year-old will be honoured with the award on July 4 at Cuvillies Theatre, Munich for outstanding film and direction. The Prime Minister of Bavaria, the Bernhard Wicki Memorial Fund and the Umbrella Organisation of the German Film Industry will also be the part of the gala. In the invitation letter, Elisabeth Wicki Endriss, the founder of the Bernhard Wicki Memorial Fund, wrote: “The Reluctant Fundamentalist is an exquisite example for a high-class extraordinary film.”

Chitrangada Singh has reportedly filed for divorce from her golfer husband Jyoti Randhawa. Chitrangada married Jyoti Randhawa in 2001 and they have a son called Zorawar. Chitrangada made her Bollywood debut with director Sudhir Mishra's Hazaaron Khwaishein Aisi in 2003.
Chitrangada was born to an Indian Army officer in Meerut. She is a trained Kathak dancer, and worked as a model before starting a career in acting. The rumour of the couple's divorce has been doing rounds since some time but Jyoti Randhawa had refuted any such news in an interview given to a national daily in February this year.
Suri to launch a fashion range
Actors Tom Cruise and Katie Holmes' daughter Suri Cruise is all set to launch her own fashion line. Suri, seven, will launch the line here in autumn and the label is going to be named after her. The deal is said to be signed and is of worth 1.5 million pounds, reports thesun.co.uk. Suri is currently living with Holmes, who divorced Cruise last year. “Suri is only seven but she is incredibly interested in clothes. This is a nice hobby for her, it’s certainly not going to take over her life,” a source said.
