No official communication about my expulsion from AAP: Yadav

Expelled Aam Aadmi Party leader Yogendra Yadav today said he has not received any official communication from the party regarding his expulsion, and still considers himself to be a part of the 'movement'.

"As of now, it is more than a week since the party said in a press release that Prashant Bhushanji, I, Anand Kumar and Ajit Jha have been expelled from the membership of the party. As of now, I have not received any communication," Yadav told reporters here.

Speaking on the sidelines of "Swaraj Samwad" organised here, he said, "There is no order. There was a claim to be a disciplinary committee which was supposed to investigate our cases, they have not given any order, they have not spelt out any reason.

"I have learnt it from the media that I have been expelled. That's all I know," he added.

Cracking the whip, AAP had on April 20 expelled rebel leaders Prashant Bhusan, Yogendra Yadav, Anand Kumar and Ajit Jha for anti-party activities and "gross indiscipline".

Asked whether he still considered himself to be a part of AAP, Yadav said "I consider myself as a part of a movement. When I was office bearer of the party - even then I used to say that this is not a party, it's a movement, and a movement which has temporarily taken the shape of a party."

"I am very much with that party, with that idea of the party, I am very much with that movement and Swaraj Abhiyan is nothing but an attempt to relive and to reignite those hopes which were associated with what became the Aam Aadmi Party."

Asked whether an attempt would be made to associate Anna Hazare with Swaraj Abhiyan, Yadav said "We have repeatedly said that any democratic movement cannot be personality centered. This stands even for Anna Hazare, Arvind Kejriwal and for me as well."

On controversy regarding alleged fake law certificate ofDelhi law Minister Jitender Singh Tomar, Yadav said, "As you know this was one of the demands we had made to the party when we were in the PAC (Political Affairs Committee)."

"We had said that four things need to be investigated and Jitender Singh Tomar's case was one of them which we wanted the party to investigate about two months ago. Had the party done the investigation then, I guess we would not have been in this embarrassing situation now.

"Having said that I also want to say, I and my colleague do not wish to waste our time and energy only in criticising the Aam Aadmi Party and its government. We want to be constructive and tomorrow if they need any support or well wishes, we would be more than happy to offer them support," he said adding that he doesn't want the movement to become a movement principally for criticising AAP.

Earlier, giving his introductory remarks at the 'Swaraj Samwad', Yadav said Swaraj Abhiyan is a political movement which seeks to remember and reinvent that spirit of alternative politics.

He said "Swaraj Abhiyan may be anything; it is not a rebellion against Aam Aadmi Party. It is not a rebellion against any party. It is not a negative campaign against anyone or anything."

Yadav also said that in the coming days Swaraj Samwad will be organised in different states, after which a nation-wide yatra will be held.
