Delhi BJP leaders and workers on Wednesday staged a protest near AAP MLA Somnath Bharti's residence in Malviya Nagar, accusing him of being involved in land encroachment.
No immediate reaction was available from the AAP or Bharti over BJP's charges.
The protesters, who included Delhi BJP president Adesh Gupta, demanded AAP chief Arvind Kejriwal to remove Bharti from his party.
"The demonstration was held against protection to land mafia and encroachment on DDA park through making a graveyard there by Arvind Kejriwal's close MLA Somnath Bharti," Gupta alleged in a tweet.
He said protests will continue till concrete action is taken against AAP leaders on the issue of land grabbing, and demanded the Lt Governor to take action in the matter.
Bharti has also complained to the LG against a local BJP leader in his constituency, accusing him of encroaching the Rose Garden's “greenland” in Hauz Khas, with construction of a building which is being used as a hotel, AAP said over the BJP protest.
