Delhi BJP president Vijay Goel said the Aam Aadmi Party (AAP) levelled corruption charges against Dikshit and her ministers before the elections but was silent after taking power with Congress support. "(Chief Minister Arvind) Kejriwal is asking for proof against Dikshit. What happened to the 700-page report you prepared against Dikshit before the electionsIJ Where is it nowIJ" asked Goel.
"He (Kejriwal) knows if he attacks Dikshit, the support will be withdrawn and he will lose power," added Goel. The BJP said evidence was collected from the reports of the Comptroller and Auditor General of India, the Central Vigilance Commission, the Shunglu committee and some social organisations on the 2010 Commonwealth Games in Delhi.
The Shunglu panel indicted the Dikshit government for cost and time overruns in projects related to the Games. "We will hand over the evidence to the lt. Governor because we don't trust the chief minister any more. In his greed for power, he has joined hands with the most corrupt party (Congress)," said Goel.
