Hyderabad: The makers of upcoming Telugu film Parnasala have expressed concern over the alleged unauthorised use of their song ‘Jim Jim Tara’ in Venkatesh-starrer Adarsha Kutumbam, fearing that it could affect their film’s theatrical prospects.

Producer Manchi Venkat expressed strong displeasure over the use of a 15-second portion of the song in a scene featuring Venkatesh in Adarsha Kutumbam, alleging that the makers had not obtained permission before using it.

Speaking to the media, Venkat said that ‘Jim Jim Tara’ had already been officially released through Aditya Music and that its use in another film without consent could cause financial losses to Parnasala. He pointed out that the makers of small-budget films put in considerable effort to bring their projects to audiences and that such incidents could further affect their chances of survival.

He also expressed concern that the use of a song from a yet-to-be-released film in another production could undermine the promotional efforts of its original makers.

Appealing to the film industry and audiences to support smaller productions, Venkat urged everyone to "save the small film".

Meanwhile, Parnasala is preparing for its theatrical release, with the controversy over ‘Jim Jim Tara’ bringing attention to the film even before its arrival in theatres.
