From refreshing cocktails to an eclectic mix of cuisine, Kinbuck 2 at Connaught Place offers an interesting experience. The ambience and unique setting of the place is an added attraction, says Deebashree Mohanty
If you crave for refreshing cocktails, innovative bar snacks and a sumptuous main course in an off-beat set-up, rush to Kinbuck 2. The name may not be a striking one, but the restaurant serves the most delicious sea food and pan-asian in town. As for the ambience, this is as real and as old-world as it could get. A popular hangout place for the youth and office goers alike, Kinbuck 2 is a must visit for many reasons.
located in the busy market milieu of Connaught Place in New Delhi, this newly opened resto-bar is the new in-thing in town and one of the reasons for this is its exhaustive menu. “Who said people who enjoy a drink, do not want to eatIJ We have kept foodies in mind for this fare,” the Chef Anay Mukherjee declares before he orders the entree to our table. The hotel is busy on most days of the week but it gets very crowded on Fridays and Sundays.
“lot of people throng to Kinbuck 2 because of the prices. We’ve kept it simple and pleasant on the pocket so that we can cater to a lot many people. Our snack menu is well designed to suit every palate,” the chef informs. Starting from the chicken and pineapple skewers to the Indian paneer tikka, there is a little bit of everything for everyone to savour. “It is an eclectic mix of world cuisine,” he says, adding that the biggest seller are the refreshing yet unique cocktails that the bar chef doles out.
“We strive to do things differently. So far it has worked for us. Even the normal vodka based cocktails are served with a twist,” the proud chef tells you. Another huge hit at Kinbuck 2 is their shrimp cocktail which is one of the best in town. It is neither too spicy nor too tangy. “We have heard rave reviews of our sea food here. Being a Bengali myself, I take utmost care that the fishes are fresh and prepared in an authentic manner. I love shrimps so you will get to see a lot of sea food in our menu,” he tells you, adding that the main course has as many options to explore. “Our biryani is sold out most of the times as is the Chinese dishes,” he mentions. The romanian bread basket complete this out of the ordinary food sojourn. Prices reasonably, this restaurant must surely feature in your to-do list.
