A 27-year-old woman committed suicide along with her two minor children by hanging from a ceiling fan inside their house at Jafarpur Kalan in southwest Delhi on Saturday evening. Police have recovered a suicide note in which she had claimed that she herself was responsible for taking this extreme step.
The body of Sadhna and her two children, five-year-old son and three-year-old daughter were spotted by a neighbour around 7 pm. "He informed her husband and other family members," said a police officer. Police reached the spot and found the bodies. The bodies were sent for the postmortem examination to a Government hospital.
Her husband, who is a taxi driver was out for work during the incident. He told police that his wife was depressed for the past few days. "The reason behind the extreme step was not mentioned in the note," said the officer. The couple got married eight years ago.
