Actor Priyanka Chopra Jonas has built a strong body of work with her sheer hard work and dedication. Not only is she hailed as one of the top actors in Bollywood, but she is also a very global icon on the world map as well.
Celebrating her achievements the Marrakech International Film Festival has announced a prestigious honor for the multi-talented person that she is.
A tribute has been given to Priyanka Chopra Jonas at the mythical Jamaa El Fna Square in front of the people, a special venue where no award ceremony has happened earlier.
While the film festival celebrated the Indian cinema in 2012 and invited Bollywood celebrities, it is for the first time that an Indian celebrity has gotten honored individually. This is also the first time that a celebrity is given a tribute in front of 30,000 people. Talking about this milestone, Priyanka says: “It is such an honor to be recognised this year with a tribute on Jamâa El fna square before the Moroccan public, who have always shown so much love and support throughout my career.”
Three films of Priyanka — Krrish 3, Bajirao Mastani, and The Sky Is Pink is part of the festival’s line-up. Krrish 3 and Bajirao Mastani have also received the honor of public screening at the Jamaa El Fna square, which draws over 20,000 people every evening for a festival show.
Pankaj kapur joins shahid in jersey
Ever since actor Shahid Kapoor announced his next film, his fans have been waiting with bated breath for the film’s glimpses. The actor is prepping for his next — Jersey and will start shooting in Chandigarh. However, there is one more reason for fans to look forward to the film. Shahid Kapoor’s father Pankaj Kapur has joined the cast of the film Jersey.
Pankaj will be playing one of the pivotal roles in the film that already has Shahid Kapoor & Mrunal Thakur as the lead couple, it will be very interesting to see father-son come together in such a film. Says a source: “Pankaj plays a mentor like figure in the film to Shahid, and is a strong pillar of support to Shahid’s character during his unexpected comeback journey”
Talking about joining the film, Pankaj Kapur says: “I am very excited to be part of the film. Jersey is a very strong story and is driven by emotions. Working with Shahid has always been very interesting and I have always admired his ability to portray emotions beautifully.”

According to sources, the Leila actress was also seen interacting with the volunteers of the LGBTQ community and probed into their journeys. Her visit to them has sparked conjecture that she is prepping for her upcoming film.
