The family of the Madhyamgram girl who was brutally set ablaze and killed after being gang-raped several times was going to meet President Pranab Mukherjee demanding a CBI enquiry into the case.
The father of the 16-year-old victim on Saturday said he had “no faith in the law and order system of this State as we are still not getting security despite being threatened by the ruling party goons to withdraw the case and return to Bihar” adding “we are going to meet the President and request him for a CBI inquiry into the case.” Earlier twice such demands had been made this year.
The kin of the victims of Kamduni gang-rape-and-murder-case and Kharjuna-rape-and-murder-case had met the President with similar demands earlier this year. Meanwhile, a BJP unit from Bihar met the victim’s kin on Saturday and demand proper police action in the case.
