Venkaiah Naidu takes a trip down memory lane

The main contender to the second highest constitutional post of Vice-President of India, M Venkaiah Naidu recalled his political life in his homeland, who hails from Nellore district of Andhra Pradesh. Having his deep relationship and emotions with this area, Naidu met many of his closest people, political supporters and mentors on Saturday, who reached Vijayawada as his final political program.

After having few breakfast chats with near and dearest ones, he inaugurated the re-entry of one of the oldest Telugu daily which played a key role in the era of British rule, post independence and Jai Andhra movement.

"This land, the people and BJP gave me many opportunities to serve the nation from  small village to the Nation's Capital, New Delhi, in different positions. Now, The Prime Minister, Narendra Modi gave me another greatest choice to serve the nation through a constitutional post though I was not desirous of that. I wanted, from 2019, retiring from politics and serving needy people through NGO. But, God wanted something other from me. I wholeheartedly owe to my homeland as well as the Nation", Naidu spelled out with deep emotion. He thanked all who extended their support to him. In a meeting, various teachers associations of the State felicitated Naidu as he had helped in Central Government granting unified service rules.
