Samajwadi Party supremo Mulayam Singh Yadav on Saturday asked party leaders and people to keep mobile phones off and use those only when necessary. SP chief said that one must be aware while talking on mobile phones “as the conversation could be tapped and later ‘misused’”.
The SP chief said he himself landed in trouble due to the use of mobile phone. Yadav was addressing a function on the occasion of release book release at CM Akhilesh Yadav’s official residence.
“I rarely use mobile phone, just press one button and entire conversation is tapped. Once I uttered some word and that was recorded and one Member of Parliament recorded it on CD. It’s good that India is developing and technology is growing. But mobile phone is dangerous,” Mulayam Singh Yadav said.
Mulayam added, “Hum to mobile se kum se kum baat karte hain (I use the mobile phone to the level of bare minimum). If somebody calls me on the mobile then I snub that person and ask him to call me on landline. One may call me on the mobile phone if I am away from home.”
