Trump promises to get rid of 'gun free zones'

Presumptive Republican presidential nominee Donald Trump has promised to get rid of “gun-free zones” if he is elected as the next US President.

“Gun-free zones. We’re getting rid of gun-free zones, OKIJ I can tell you that,” Trump said in his address to the national convention of National Rifle Association (NRA) — the powerful pro-gun lobbying group in the US — in Kentucky. Trump’s promise, which was not part of his written speech, came soon after he was endorsed by the NRA for his stand in favour of gun lobbying groups.

“That wasn’t part of my speech, I must be honest with you,” he said. “We’re getting rid of them. Thank you. We’re getting rid of gun-free  zones, OKIJ” Trump told a cheering crowd.
