Traffic jams were reported from South Delhi's Okhla Industrial area, Chittaranjan Park, Kalkaji, Sainik Farms, Saket; West Delhi's Patel Nagar, Kirti Nagar, Mayapuri, Raja Garden; North Delhi's Shalimar Bagh and Model Town; and East Delhi's laxmi Nagar and Krishna Nagar.
Clogged drains led to roads being submerged in knee-deep water leaving lakhs of commuters stranded on roads — be it the Ring Road, Mathura Road, Rani Jhansi Road, Vikas Marg, Outer Ring Road, Kashmere Gate, Aurobindo Marg, Dhaula Kuan, NH-8 and all other arterial roads.
Heavy rain also affected traffic at AIIMS, Moolchand, Ashram, South Extension, Dhaula Kuan and Moti Bagh. Civic Corporation officials were seen wading through waist-deep water near Pragati Maidan as they tried to open clogged drains.
