Two bike-borne assailants robbed a bag with jewellery worth Rs1.2 crore from a jeweler's car near Rajghat on Friday.
The incident took place when Shubham, a jewellery shop owner in Chandni Chowk, was going to Karol Bagh in his car. When they were near Rajghat, two bike-borne youths signaled them to stop. When the car stopped and Shubham came out, the pillion rider picked the bag from the car and the bikers fled. The trader made a PCR call and a police team rushed to the spot but the robbers had fled. A case has been registered at IP Estate police station. Meanwhile, a jeweller was robbed at knife point in his Gandhi Nagar shop on Friday. When locals tried to chase the robber, he fired a bullet in the air to scare them.
