Time to gear up for challenges

Time to gear up for challenges
Published on:

I  hereby greet the valued readers of this column on new year and wish them a very happy life during the year ahead. As usual, people must be in a joyous mood. Any and many wish lists will be made, which may fail sooner than later. People are tempted to live on hope and shun challenging situations. Probably they get into fun and frolic guided by the wish to set the premise for a similarly rejoicing time during the year ahead. But bear in mind, life does not move to one’s asking, as one has to contend with lot of unforeseen challenges coming in the way.

Remember, nature, which holds the key to all the dynamism intrinsic to the living order, keeps exciting energy flux that varies every moment. As a consequence, the living order continuously remains in a state of flux, in as much as that even body cells constituting our body keeps dying every day. Of course, simultaneously fresh cells keep generating. So, how we stand today, does not hold good tomorrow.

Also, remember that there remains continuum in time and space. So, the ground that we laid down for ourselves last year, its carryover effect will continue to chase us. And with energy dynamics of nature varying every moment, we are due for fresh challenges ahead. Also, fresh opportunities may arise. So, the quality of life we become due for during the year ahead will obviously depend upon how well we are geared up to negotiate the callings of emerging times with ease and comfort.

That calls for a look into the legacy that we have carried over from the past year, as also major astronomical movements due during the year ahead to visualise the emerging trends. The discomfort on account of demonetisation decision is yet not over, and its carryover is expected to stretch out further.

There are two striking change in nature’s energy dynamics during the year. Early April, Uranus, sharing ownership of Aquarius sign with Saturn, moves into Mars owned sign Aries, incidentally the first house of natural zodiac. It may upset world polity in a big way, India not spared, because Aries happens to be the signifying sign of Delhi, the nerve centre of India. No wonder, the result of Brexit vote, marked with emerging anti-global trend, came out exactly on June 23 last year, when Uranus entered Aries sign for a brief period, before becoming retrograde. Incidentally, Aries happens to be signifying sign of United Kingdom. Its stay in Aries sign for next seven years is indicative of continued turbulence in major part of the world.

Rahu enters Cancer on August 20.   Earlier, whenever Rahu passed through Taurus, Cancer, Scorpio, or Capricorn signs, led to disastrous consequences. Taurus happens to be the lagna sign of India’s Independence chart, with 4th cusp falling in Cancer and 10th in Capricorn. Rahu was in Cancer during Indo-China war. It was in Taurus during Indo-Pak conflict in 1965. It was in Capricorn during Bangladesh war in 1971. It was in Scorpio in 1975 when emergency was imposed. In 1984, Rahu was in Taurus. Again, during Kargil conflict, Rahu was in Cancer. It’s time now to watch out how things emerge during Rahu’s stay for a year and a half in Cancer.

The situation does not seem any way improving in either New Year chart or at the time of solar ingress into Capricorn, the natural signifying sign for India. In both charts Jupiter opposite Uranus, shall be involved in exchange with Mercury. The implication is that people may begin questioning Government on account of their ill-planned and ill-timed moves. Venus progressing towards Ketu, Mars, and Neptune tells upon economic health of the country.

In the chart drawn for eclipse happening on February 26, Jupiter will be placed opposite Mars, Venus, and Uranus. In the first place, it does not speak well of our economic health.   Second, there remains possibility of some adverse judicial pronouncement, which may bring discomfort to the government. Third, there remains possibility of communal flare up.

The chart drawn for solar eclipse due on August 21 too does not augur well for the country, which coincides with Rahu’s movement in Cancer. This particular eclipse is happening on 4th-10th axis, involving retrograde Mercury, which remains in opposition to mischievous Neptune. It does not sound good for polity, as it will be marked with policy flip flop and flawed diplomatic initiatives. People’s discontent may grow.  It also points to the possibility of being faced with unforeseen circumstances of serious dimension.
