Delhiites will wake up to foggy mornings in the coming week, said an official of the Meteorological Department. However, some relief is in sight for those who’ve been dreading the extreme cold as there will be not much change in the temperature and it will continue to hover around 19 degrees (maximum) and 7 degrees (minimum).
“There will be moderate to dense fog in the coming 2-3 days in the morning. Not much change in the temperature but fog will be there in a scattered form with dense fog in some areas and light in others,” said an official from Met department.
The weather experts have also predicted a light rainfall on January 9 with very slight or no change in temperature. The maximum temperature is likely to remain around 19 degrees while the minimum settling at 7 degrees till Tuesday. The temperature is unlikely to change on Wednesday even though there will be light showers in the capital.
Though the Capital is expected to be enveloped in thick fog this week, the IMD officials could not clarify on the visibility. “It is tough to say how the visibility will be but the fog is expected to grow from moderate to dense,” said an official.
