Ever heard of Reiki food therapy to not just energise the seven chakras but to heal and calm the body and mindIJ SHAlINI SAKSENA caught up with the man behind this Japanese technique

One doesn’t need to be told that it is important to eat a balanced meal to lead a healthy life. A well-balanced diet with all the nutrients is something that has been missing from our foods due to pesticides, injections and excessive use of chemical fertilizers. But what if somebody told you that now it is possible to eat healthy by making small changes and switching to Reiki food therapyIJ

It may sound strange but now environmental energy food products are available in the market that are not only important for our body but also rejuvenate our mind, vigour and health.

“Most of us have heard miracles that Reiki, use of pyramid, crystals and even music have brought about. These may be alternative methods of treatment but their positive effect on health can’t be denied. What we have done is combined all the four elements under one roof to bring for the first time in India, Reiki food therapy,” Vinay Garg, Reiki food expert tells you.

The technique is simple. An environment is created to energise the food we are eating. For this, a 1,500 square feet space has been taken where pyramids with crystals have been placed. The platform or the floor as well as walls are made of crystal grids using quartz of very high quality. Behind this grid, there is instrumental music that plays 24x7 in the form of vibrations — a meditative tune. The capacity of this room is so big that it can hold 15,000 kg of any product that needs to be energised for a minimum of 24 hours but it is kept for 48 hours for maximum advantage.

His interest in coming out with Reiki foods began when he was practising it and he met masters from all over the world practising different therapies. “I found that some were masters in Reiki, others in pyramid therapy, and still others in music therapy. I was fascinated by what they were doing, the effect it was having on people’s health. I, too, wanted to do something on these lines but combine all the four elements,” Garg says after he found that some of these masters would put their food inside a pyramid or give Reiki just before consuming it.

“I was told that it not only energises all the nutrients in the food, it also helps develop a positive attitude. When I came back to India, I decided to combine the four elements and make available to the people in India the same for better health,” Garg tells you.

This is is because food, besides providing nourishment, also affects our appearance, moods, weight, energy and the aging process. “We know that food helps the body to repair itself, but few know that it also helps to heal our mind and soul. Basically, Reiki food therapy is a technique by which the foods can be charged by using the four environmental energies. It can help a person balance and harmonise their emotions and align the seven chakras present in the body,” Garg explains. It works on the principle of metaphysics. So there is no way that these four elements will harm the body as they are natural energies

“In order to understand how this therapy works, one will first have to understand that everything around us — animate to inanimate — each has its unique energy. Just like Reiki uses hands to heal an injury, it is possible to provide Reiki to the food we eat to increase the energy that is present and  bring down the negativity. For example, in Japan people believe that giving Reiki to the food will make it taste  better and it is a common practice to give Reiki to their food before eating. In fact, there are some places which are pyramid zones. People stand under it just before meeting to recharge themselves,” Garg, who has also been conferred with Bhartiya Udyog Rattan Award for his innovation, tells you.

For now, he is concentrating on energising sugar and salt because it is consumed daily. The next phase is to energise mineral water, rice and wheat. Of course, plans are afoot to grow fruits and vegetables under a pyramid as well.
