The National Students Union of India (NSUI), which is the student wing of the Indian National Congress, has strengthened its roots in Tamil Nadu's southern area while recruiting 12,000 new volunteers during its most recent membership drive in July.
As the State's membership drive comes to a successful conclusion, NSUI State chairman Srimaan Ramchandra Raja met Congress vice-president Pon Krishnamurthy to discuss forthcoming plans and strategies.
The 12 southern districts including Virudhunagar, Madurai, Tanjavur, Kanyakumari, Tirunelveli, Tuticorin, Salem, Nagerkovil, Tenkasi, Teni, Ramanathapuram, and Dindigul have all been the focus of Srimaan's vigorous membership campaign, according to sources.
